Using the Emergency Stop
This article will cover how and when to use the Emergency stop button of your robot.
When to use the E-STOP

The robot is posing a danger to itself and risks hitting itself or objects around it. | To interrupt program execution. To stop a program in case of none-emergency simply use the stop key button on the SmartPad. For further information, refer to the SmartPad Overview article. |
The robot is posing a danger to a person in its vicinity. | To "safe" the robot when not in use. This introduces unnecessary wear and tear on the ESTOP. Instead, simply Turn off Drive Power using the SmartPad. |
How to use the E-STOP

Press down on the E-STOP button.
The button will click in place indicating that the E-STOP has been activated.
A message will show up on the SmartPad indicating the E-STOP is active.
How to clear the E-STOP
Twist the E-STOP button clockwise to unlock it.
Dismiss the message on your SmartPad asking you to acknowledge the emergency stop by hitting ok.
You can now reactivate the motor drives and operate it as usual.
