Lensmaster Help

Orbit Tracking

The orbit tracker in Lensmaster requires 2 keyframes and one target - which forms the plane of motion. Lensmaster will automatically generate an arc path from the selected keyframe to the next keyframe with the target selected being at the center of the arc.

Similar to the linear trackers, the user is able to set the yaw and pitch free.

Primary Target

Select a target for camera orbit.

Orientation Target

Select a target for camera heading.

Camera Yaw

Locks or frees camera yaw to be on target during the move.

Camera Pitch

Locks or frees camera pitch to be on target during the move.

Orbit Mode

Select Advanced to access Advanced orbit settings.

Orbit Arc

Specify the arc lens between the two keyframes. The long arc angle is 360 degrees minus the short arc angle.

Velocity Mode

Set the obit's entry and exit velocities to free or fixed.

  • Free: Allow user to edit orbit keyframe velocities.

  • Fixed: Fixes the orbit keyframe velocities to result in a constant orbital angular velocity.

Radius Mode

  • Follow Start: User moves first keyframe and second keyframe automatically moves to maintain same radius to target as first keyframe.

  • Follow End: User moves second keyframe and first keyframe automatically moves to maintain same radius to target as second keyframe.

  • Interpolated: User can move first and second keyframes and orbit radius is linearly interpolated between the two keyframes.

In advanced orbit mode, orbit center coordinates can be specified along with axis of rotation, orbit angle, helix offset and direction of rotation.

Referenced Roll Mode enables to control the camera roll in over-head or top-down shots where yaw and roll are co-linear.

Free Yaw Mode keeps camera yaw heading free for manual manipulation on Timeline.

Free Pitch Mode keeps camera pitch free for manual manipulation on Timeline.
