Working with Audio Clips

This article will go over how to use audio clips in your timeline

Adding Audio Clips to Tracks

  1. Import the audio files needed into your active animation. Go to this article for the methods of importing audio into Lensmaster

  2. There are two methods for creating audio clips:

    • Right-click the source audio inside the Audio Manager, hover over Add to Track, and select the desired track. This will add the entire source audio as an audio clip after the last clip on the track.

    • Drag the source audio from the Audio Manager into the track directly. The Audio Clip will be created if it is placed in a valid position (green), and the process will be cancelled if the created audio clip does not fit in the position it was released (red).

Delete Audio Clips

  • You can delete audio clips the same way as any timeline item: select them and press Delete on the keyboard. For more details, see this article.

Editing Audio Clips

You can crop, modify, move, duplicate, and change the volumes of audio clips inside the Audio Timeline

Cropping or Modifying an Audio Clip

  • To crop an audio clip, simply drag the yellow edge of the clip in the direction you want to crop.

  • Alternatively, right-click an audio clip and select Modify Audio Clip. A window similar to the Audio Import Window will appear, allowing you to accurately modify and play the audio clip.

Moving Audio Clips

Lensmaster allows you to move multiple audio clips from multiple tracks at once.

  1. Select the track items you desire to move.

  2. Hold Shift and drag one of the selected track items (clips and markers) to move all selected items. The dragged item will follow the mouse, and all other items will maintain their relative positions.

Copy Audio Clips

  • You can copy audio clips the same way as any timeline item: select them and press Ctrl + C on the keyboard. For more details, see this article.

Paste Audio Clips

  • You can paste audio clips the same way as any timeline item: press Ctrl + V on the keyboard. For more details, see this article.

Duplicating Audio Clips

Instead of copy and pasting, you can also duplicate track items

  1. Select the track items you desire to move by holding down the Ctrl key and draw a selection box (rubber band) around the desired clips and markers to select them.

  2. Hold Alt and drag one of the selected track items (clips and markers) to create a copy of the selected items. It then functions similar to moving audio clips.

Changing Audio Clips Volumes

  • Right-click one of the selected clips and select Change Audio Clip(s) volume. This will modify the volume of all the selected clips.
