Camera Cage

The camera cage is an end-of-arm robot tooling that supports most cine cameras for under-slung, in-line, and side mounting. The camera cage is compatible with the CRX 1810 and CRX3100 and any other KUKA CYBERTECH and IONTEC robots.

Before you start

Tools Needed

  • 3/16 Inch Allen key

  • 5/16 Inch Allen key

  • Number 4 Allen key (Metric)

  • Number 5 Allen key (Metric)

Mounting Configurations

There are 3 possible configurations for mounting the camera cage on your robot.

Under-slung mounting
Allows for the highest range of motion in yaw.

In-line mounting
Allows for the highest range of motion in roll.

Side mounting
Allows for the highest range of motion in pitch.

Assembling the Camera Cage

Under-slung Configuration

  1. Align the cage sides onto the top part and fasten them using the provided M5x20 screws.

  2. Align the bottom part to the cage sides and fasten using the same M5 screws.

In-line and Side Configuration

  1. Repeat step 1 from the Under-slung Configuration section.

  2. Align the bottom part to the side parts of the cage and fasten it in place using the M5 screws.

Attaching the Cage on the Robot

Under-Slung

  1. Align the flange adapter with the indented circle on the top part of the cage with M6x20 screws.

  2. Mount the camera cage assembly onto the robot by fastening the screws found diagonally apart.

  3. Fully tighten the screws once they have all been fastened in place correctly.

In-line
