Stepper Motor Overview

This tutorial will guide you through the process of integrating a stepper motor into your Lensmaster Action Server in order to control stepper motors in sync with your animation.

Stepper motors are widely utilized in motion control applications due to their simple control coupled with their low-cost. The stepper-motor control system with Lensmaster consists of three parts:

  • Lensmaster Action Server acting as the signal generator, creating low-current, logic-level step and direction signals.

  • A stepper motor driver, converting these signals into high-powered ones to manage the motor's magnets.

  • The stepper motor itself, which uses the signals from the driver to rotate and move the desired axis.
